I have an xbox360 and I just got the game halo 3. My brother (who is 8 years old) can kick my butt in that game… which happens to be quite annoying and embarrassing. So I had my friends over and [unfortunately] he beat me (yet again). Now, I admit, I haven't always been that good at video games and I really dont play them that much. Im barely on the computer either. So… I don't really have any video game skillz. BUt can anyone give me some tips/cheats/hints on how I can get better? Anyone know how I can demolish my brother? thanks

Grenades. Always throw them. No matter what, because who knows what you'll hit or who you'll hit. But you can't just toss em, actually try to aim them.
Pick up the battle rifle. Shoot with it for long range then switch to assault rifle at close range. You should have done some damage and win most encounters.
Get really good with the sniper. And practice shooting while moving. The easiest target is a standing target. So stay away from just standing still.
Look at the motion radar a lot. And crouch-move if you have to. Some call it cheap, but you can do a lot better if they don't know that your hiding behind the corner.
Aim for the head or chest areas. Do more damage that way.

Always hide behind things, then pop out and shoot so their not expecting it.
Try to stay in an unseen area and shoot people from there.
REMEMBER: Running into open areas will make you easily visable.
If you have to get somewhere, stay next to a wall when your moving.

Learn the weapon placements. It helps a lot. Also, try to get the power weapons like a Rocket Launcher, Shotgun, Spartan Laser, etc… Lastly, go into forge and make a training map on Last Resort or The Pit. Use floating fusion coils and try and snipe them. Lastly, aim for the head. It may seem obvious but it is essential with the Battle Rifle.

If you really want to get better, try finishing the game on Legendary first of all, and afterwards keep training against your friends, your brother, or people on Xbox Live (if you have it).
Practice is all it takes to gain every skill, and the same goes for Halo 3. Any advice people give you really won't help, the skills should come naturally, otherwise it won't help you.
If you continue playing against your brother, or anyone that's BETTER than you, you'll see that you'll get better over time and eventually be good enough to beat them.

if you are playing agaisnt him on one console look at his screen and see where he is, then go kill him!!!!! Also every time he kills you just hit him one on the noggin, (trust me it works). If you want to beat him without cheating grab yourself a shotgun and run at him then shoot one bullet then beat him down real fast, that works a treat.Or grab yourself a grv hammer or sword for one hit kill. Or just tell him that your mum wants him in the kitchen then kill him over and over again, when he comes back he will not be happy
