well im not awful but i need tips to be better

Avoid the instinctive attack strategy on multiplay consisting of the "machine gun firing wildly while charging towards your enemy and preparing to melee them to death" -attack.
Stay back, use your machine gun at a distance. It is decent at medium range. Be wary of battle rifles and snipers until you work yourself up to a profficient level of using either (BRs or Snipe rifles I mean). No-scoping is an art of practice that is learned with extreme patience.
And is something I've never learned. lol. Just play a lot, it's like Guitar Hero. You've got to keep at it until you don't even think about the color-buttons you're pressing. You just "play".

Practice, practice, practice. Finish the campaign on legendary, if you can do that, then start practicing against people online.

Get good w/ sniper. Learn how to land grenades at some1s feet. And just generally learn how to aim better and learn where all the weapons are on all maps.

it takes lots of practice…learn how 2 land them grenades right under ppls feet & ducking when your in close combat helps….i've been playing it since the 1st 1 came out & i love playing online;oh & make sure u get 2 the good guns 1st

start on easy at first and devlop a stratgy around what weopon u r best at using and keep on try dont give up anybody can be good

when in heavy gun battles try jumping over the enemy then getting them from behind or just jump as you are running away..
