im stuck and the flood are seriously destroying me. Any helpful tips for the flood on legendary?
at the moment i have a carbine and dual wielding maulers from the previous flood encounter. I feel that im in a bad situation but i dont want to start over, its really hard. lol.

Don't use Covenant weapons, try to use only Human weapons if you can. Flood has no shields, making them very strong against Covenant while weaker towards Human weapons. Shotguns and BR's work wonders.
If that's all you've got I would highly suggest running back a little bit and looking for some other guns. Carbine would be useful but I'd look for something else.

Go for head shots with a BR and AR. Or a shotgun because they tend to get close. Also WHen they are down make sure they are dead. Sometimes then tend to come back to life and kill you from behind. Melee them while they are on the ground. If you get fire grenades do not waste them. Throw them into large packs of enemies. Same with all grenades. Never get to close they melee a lot and tend to do damage. If possible get to high ground (possibly a crate) and force them to jump up and come to you. You can melee them as they jump, or shutgun, etc and pick them off. And be patient. Legendary is hard and you cannot rush. Happy gaming!

Yeah I have some, keep in mind these are things that help me they may not work for you…
1. Swords are tempting, but try to avoid them. They may have worked well in Halo 2 ,but in Halo 3 about 60% of Flood in Legendary have guns and use ranged form.
2. If you see flood with guns, aim for the hand their carrying the gun in. It will make life alot eayser, since you could run away.
3. When Flood are in their smallest form (the little ball things with legs), try to fire at them when they are in a pack. Never try to kill them 1 by 1, it takes to long and uses up bullets.

Human weps only, exept the fuel rod gun. Save explosive weapons for larger groups, and use SMGs, BRs, and Assault Rifles for smaller groups. Try to ignore the sniper, as is isn't really a flood killer.

get your delf a good powerful weapon such as the shotgun, dont bother to aim for them just run if there's to many, if you think that you can, get into an area that there is only entrance and shoot them as they come through at you. The best weapon the you can use against these monsters is the anti grav hammer. Get that and force your way to your next objective. However, mainly use human weaponry, it is a lot more effective in your hands and it deals more damage to the flood.

I have completed it on legendery
1. switch carbine to brute shot
2. keep the maulers
3.when the flood dont see you then that is when you throw plasma nades
4.dont throw plasma nades when the flood are charging
5. if you want some help get some people from xbox live to help (allies are your most important asset now)
6. dont waste nades if it is only uno flood forms
7.when fighting dont charge toward run backwards it gives you more time to react
