People can take two hits from shot gun and live to wack once to kill you. I dont understand how this is possible. Are they complete nerds that can hack into it to change settings just so they can win.

Depends where they are aiming and how close they are to you. If you aim for the face you'll more than likely get a 1 shot kill.
The same goes for when your using any other weapon. Aim for the head and you'll take em down quicker.
When I play I notice that sometimes I can empty a whole thing of bullets and not kill the guy but he uses less and kills me. It's because I was aiming at his body and not his head. Now I dont know where he was aiming, but chances are it was a little higher.
